Solmelu (meaning “Greetings” in Tulu) has been designed and developed with an aim to help the traditional artisans, shopkeepers, vendors in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi regions, and to curate and execute a structured and seamless experience to tourists visiting the region.

Solmelu has been jointly developed by Robosoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. One of the most notable aspects of Solmelus development is that it was primarily built by students, who brought fresh creativity, coding expertise, and innovative problem-solving skills to the project. They were guided by a team of design and technical experts from Robosoft Technologies, whose mentorship was invaluable in refining the apps architecture and user experience.
